I have to thank a former boyfriend for introducing me to the world of manual photography. He had a Canon 35mm film SLR that we took to the Zoo and shot off a ton of film. That was 25 years ago, the boyfriend is long gone but I still have some of the photographs!!
My life took me in all different directions but I have always enjoyed photography as a hobby and now I have the opportunity to really invest time and energy into this art form. I hope to learn everything I can in the diploma program. I want to know both digital and film techniques so well that in the moment of creative spirit I don't get tied down or limited by a lack of technical knowledge. I also am looking forward to be inspired by other students and instructors in order to ignite my passion of photography even more.
